BO GODT OG TRIVELIG I SJØKANTEN

“Storhurra´n” is originally the colonial here on Selvær; built to provide the necessities for a population of large, large flocks of young, hard-working adults, a large influx of fishermen who were housed high and low during the cod fishing in mid-winter. That time is long gone. As a result, the building stood empty for many, many years. It was a rather sad sight to see the building decay more with each passing year.

Storhurra´n has a long and motley history. Then it stood empty for a number of years. Olav and Randi bought it and have through ten years of diligent efforts with restoration taken care of the house's diverse history.

The white magnificent building extends into the sound on solid piles and offers itself, so that each guest can easily get lost in both beautiful and nostalgic details that each carry on its history.

APARTMENT ON THE 1st FLOOR

NICE LIVING ROOM WITH LONG TABLE

The living room also has a sofa bed and the dining room can accommodate up to twelve people. There is a cozy wood stove in the living room.

THREE BEDROOMS

There are three nice bedrooms - two with a double bed and one with a 120 cm wide bed - plus a sofa bed in the living room.

KITCHEN PLUS BATHROOM WITH SHOWER AND WC

Here you will also find a modern, cozy kitchen and a bathroom with WC and shower cubicle. The water comes from our own cistern, but we prefer to buy drinking water in the store or tap from an external water source. In other words, up to seven people can live here without stepping on each other's toes.

INTERNET

Selvær has good coverage on Telenor's 4G network. We have chosen not to have neither Wi Fi nor TV in this apartment. In the living room you will find both board games, deck of cards and YATZY block with dice. Also feel free to bring one or two good books; here you will experience the joy of living slowly.
