THE COUNTRY'S SMALLEST STORE?

Selvær handel is a small convenience store. In low season, the store is open only two hours on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Yes, by the way; on Fridays the shop is also open for one hour in the afternoon. In summer, it gets livelier in Selvær: In winter season we 40-45 permanent residents living here, because summertime there will be a large influx of summer guests; many of these have holiday homes here. Then there are around a hundred people ore more here at Selvær. Our store is therefore open four hours in the middle of the day, the six weekdays a week. So even then, you will have plenty of free time for private pursuits.

A LITTLE HISTORY

It does not look like that now, but originally these store premises were an old prayer house. (See what it looks like today.) Eight years ago, we rebuilt the premises on a series of workshops and installed plenty of necessary equipment. We own this shop together, we who live here. It works perfectly. We are a member of the Snarkjøp chain, so we have good purchasing agreements and can deliver most of what is requested. The offer has proven to have the right to life; financially, the store is a plus and it has a range of goods and services that cover most needs of both us residents and our visitors.

VERSATILE WORK

Your work is composed; you service the checkout, follow up the café corner, keep track of both item placement and warehouse, update prices and shelf marking, take daily settlements and are also happy to contribute with the presentation of Selvær and the store as well as reports from the checkout to the accountant.

You are also the deputy chairman of the board with regard to the alcohol license. We also have post-in-store that you handle.

One day a week there will be goods; then we are several who line up to unpack or place the goods where they belong, either in the warehouse or directly on the shelves. We are proud to be known for our hospitality, and the store is in a way an important and friendly face to the outside world.

OWN SERVICE HOUSING

It comes with a spacious and cozy home with the position. It is fully furnished. You agree the rental conditions directly with the contact person Line.
