WE ARE SORRY

there is no parking space for more than three motorhomes at a time at Selvær. There is the parking lot in front of the school. By agreement, you get access to electricity here.

ALMOST CAR-FREE

Selvær is as close to a car-free society as you can imagine. In fact, it was completely car-free here until the quay for the car ferry was built in 1990. At that time, the car ferry was needed primarily in connection with garbage disposal, major construction projects and such, and not primarily for passenger transport. Most of the vehicles you experience here in our everyday lives are the occasional moped car or the island's only tractor.

Barely two kilometers of paved road invites more to cycling than to car use.

This still gives Selvær a special peace and frees us from much of the stress that unfortunately comes with car traffic.

DETAILS

It is very expensive to use the ferry if you have a motorhome: Approx. 200 Euro round trip.
